Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Your 14-day right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

As a consumer buying at a distance, you generally have 14 days to withdraw from the contract, without giving a reason. The period runs from the day the contract is concluded (for services). To withdraw, tell us by a clear statement (email info@swamiaditya.com); you may use the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this page.

2. The two exceptions that apply to our services

The Directive lists services where the 14-day right does not apply. Two apply to us:

(a) A session you ask us to start and fully perform within the 14 days

"service contracts after the service has been fully performed if the performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent, and with the acknowledgement that he will lose his right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully performed by the trader."
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(a)

What this means for you: if you book a consultation to take place inside the 14-day window, at checkout you give your prior express consent to begin and acknowledge that, once the session is fully delivered, you lose the 14-day withdrawal right for it. Before the session is delivered, you may still withdraw (and we refund, less any part already performed).

(b) A satsang seat / event for a specific date

"...catering or services related to leisure activities if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance."
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(l)

What this means for you: a ticketed satsang or event tied to a specific date is a fixed-date leisure service, so the 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to it (the same rule that applies to concert/event tickets). We say this clearly at checkout. Outside these two cases, you keep your full 14-day withdrawal right.

3. Satsang and event tickets are paid

• Satsang seats and event tickets: are paid for a specific date, so the fixed-date leisure exception in section 2(b) applies. If we cancel or cannot deliver, you receive a full refund or a reschedule - your choice.

4. Our rescheduling goodwill (on top of your legal rights)

• You can reschedule a paid session up to 24 hours before it, free of charge.
• A cancellation with less than 24 hours notice is generally non-refundable, but we treat each case with common sense.
• If we cancel or cannot deliver a paid session, you get a full refund or a reschedule, your choice.

5. How refunds are made

Where a refund is due, we refund using the same payment method you used, without undue delay and within 14 days.

6. Your local rights are unaffected

If your country of residence grants you stronger mandatory cancellation/refund rights, those rights are unaffected.
